Beliefs
As a church we are
unashamedly evangelical and reformed.
We believe that it is vital for men and women to enter into a personal
relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God and know Him
personally as Saviour and Lord.
We believe that the church is to be centred on our commitment to the Bible as being
in its entirety the Word of God and is therefore without error.
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, that He lived a perfect life,
free from sin, and died as the substitute for sinners on the cross.
We believe that on the third day Jesus rose bodily and physically from the dead
and that after 'showing Himself alive by many infallible proofs' He ascended to
heaven.
We believe that in God's time, Jesus Christ will come again to this world as it's King and Judge; and that those who know Him and trust Him as their Saviour will go to be with Him in heaven for eternity.
We believe that those who do not know Him will be condemned for eternity in
hell.
We believe that because men and women are dead in sin, they cannot save
themselves and need the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit in their lives to
effect their salvation.
This work of God in the life is an act of His grace which cannot be earned or
deserved.
We believe that the Gospel (good news) should be preached to all without
exception.
For a fuller understanding of those things that we believe, as a church we
adhere to the 1689 Baptist
Confession of Faith.
